"If I could give KC more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! My husband and I recently adopted a little girl out of state. We were going to be present in the delivery room at the time of birth, and knew we wanted to capture that special moment between us, the expectant mother, and our baby girl. As we started to look for photographers in the Albuquerque area, we couldn’t help but notice KC’s portfolio and how she beautifully captured the birth story of other families. As soon as we reached out to KC, she was very quick to respond. She worked tirelessly with us to make sure that our contract was drawn up just right and that it made sense for our specific situation and all involved. She was great at communicating and easy to reach at any time through phone, email, and text. She came along side us and really got to know us and our wishes for capturing our adoption birth story. She was respectful and sensitive to everyone involved. She made herself available to be on-call beginning at 35 weeks, which helped to ease our mind incase our baby decided to arrive early. We had several ‘false alarms’, and KC was on standby and ready to go every single time. When it actually came time to deliver, KC only had about 30 minutes notice…and you can bet she made it on time! KC was very knowledgeable and guided us through exactly what the process would look like in order to have her at the hospital and in the delivery room with us…she knew all the ins and outs. Once she arrived, she was so warm and comforting. She met me with a big hug, and felt like hugging an old friend (even though we had never officially met). What struck me is how supportive and encouraging she was to me in such a vulnerable moment. She truly is the sweetest! While in the hospital room, she had a great photography presence without being ‘in your face’. Her camera was quiet, and there were moments we almost forgot she was in the room. She allowed us to have an authentic birthing experience, but was still able to capture ALL the beautifully raw moments on film. She was able to capture moments that I had no idea even took place until I viewed our photo gallery back. I’m still in awe that she was able to capture the moment so perfectly. We received our ‘sneak peak’ within about 3 hours of our little one being born and received our full photo gallery back in about two weeks. The photo gallery was user friendly, password secured, and allowed us access to view and easily download all our photos. They were STUNNING and are photos that we will cherish in our family forever. KC also took our newborn photos after discharging from the hospital. Being from out of town, she worked with us to provide ideas and to help us establish the perfect location. She traveled out of her way to meet us at our location, and made our newborn session fun and enjoyable. We of course loved our newborn photos as well! KC is truly a gem. She is professional, knowledgeable, has a knack for capturing the most beautiful/candid images, and goes above and beyond to make sure she meets your wish. We have gained a friend for life. I could NOT have imagined having anyone other than KC there to capture this special season of our life. If you’re looking for a fabulous photographer, look no more.
