I was born and raised in Gallup, NM. At 18 I moved to Albuquerque to attended the University of New Mexico. In 2017 I graduated with my BA in Elementary Education. In Gallup I served my community as a 3rd grade teacher for three years. 2020 was an exciting year for me. I got engaged, had my first child, and got married. In 2021 my husband and I bought our first home in Bosque Farms, and we welcomed our second child into this world! When the pandemic hit in 2020, I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom. What a learning curve it has been. I am blessed beyond measure to get the opportunity to stay home with my children. Though teaching ended abruptly, I still find myself teaching and exploring with my own children. We are very involved in our local communities, and enjoy teaching our children to help and give back to others in need.

I have always loved photography. When I was in 9th grade my father bought me my first DSLR Canon T1. I instantly enrolled into my high-school photography class. In college I decided to take upper level photography classes to continue my education in photography. My love for photography has only grown stronger since then. I have had the wonderful opportunity to capture birth, homecoming, prom, graduation and maternity photos for friends and family. I am a certified birth photographer through The Beauty In Birth.

I have always loved working with children, families, and my community. Realizing I could not be a teacher and stay-at-home mom (at the same time), I quickly started to seek a profession that could impact families in my community all while stay home with my babies. I decided to pursue Labor and Delivery photography full-time. I love the storytelling that happens during birth. My passion is to document the raw, emotional, and beautiful birth stories for families in our community. I provide high quality work that my clients will love for many, many years.

What is the difference between Fresh 48 and Newborn photography?

"A fresh 48 session will take place while you and your baby are still at your birthing facility. It usually happens within the first 48 hours after your baby’s birth. A Fresh 48 sessions captures all of those firsts and shows how tiny your baby was when they were BRAND NEW, and all of those new emotions still floating around in the room after becoming a new parent. It also captures the hospital environment, which is a bonus for anyone who didn’t hire a birth photographer.

And a newborn session documents what life was like when you brought your sweet baby home. Choosing both sessions will help capture both moments and show how your baby is growing in the first few weeks."
